Adesun is offering a 7 inch tablet that can run Windows XP, Vista or Linux.

Coming out in China soon, the Adesun AD-708 tablet (link translated into English) uses a VIA C7 platform and has an 800×600 WVGA touchscreen LCD with built-in gravity sensor (to automatically switch between portrait and landscape modes). Adesun is offering two different options with their AD-708. All tablets will share the VIA C7 platform, VIA VX700 graphics card, 7 inch touchscreen LCD, have two USB 2.0, an express card slot, VGA out, SD card slot, a built-in LAN, Wireless b/g and a Bluetooth 2.0 module.

The basic Adesun AD-708 model features a C7M 1.2GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, an 8GB SSD drive and runs Windows XP for 1,999 yuan (just under $295 U.S.). The delux Adesun AD-708 model has double the memory, storage space and battery life (1GB, 16GB and 6400mAh respectively). It uses the same processor, comes with Windows XP and costs 2,999 yuan (roughly $440 U.S.). In addition you get a tablet car kit, GPS, TV receiver and 2GB SD card.

Adesun offers a 32GB SSD storage option as well although no upgrade price is listed. It seems like a decent MID that could have a lot of upgrade potential (or OS hacking ability). We’ll wait and see if any good mods come out of it. Thanks to Cloned in China who reported it first.
