BYD Alice tablet features Android and Tegra power

JKK continues to uncover the goodies at CeBIT. This time its the BYD Alice tablet.

A few weeks ago we posted about the BYD Snaptop that was found at Mobile World Congress. The Alice looks to be a more refined model with a streamlined design and powered by a NVIDIA Tegra600 processor. It features an 8.9-inch 1024 x 600 resolution WXVGA touchscreen, 256MB NAND, 8GB eMMC and is expandable for an additional 16GB through the microSD card slot. It measures 8.27 x 4.7 x 0.55 inches and has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

What we can’t understand is the relationship that the BYD Alice has with the previously reported ViewSonic VTablet. Aside from the processor change (the VTablet uses an ARM A9) and a few port changes they seem to be the same tablet. Is the Alice simply the evolution of the VTablet? If so you can expect a price tag of around $450.
