Daza Electronics introduces E-002 and E-003 3G E-Ink eReaders
Daza Electronics has introduced the E-002 and E-003 eReaders at the CeBIT show.
The Daza Electronics E-002 features a 6-inch 800 x 600 resolution E-Ink display with 16 levels of grayscale, a 2500mAh battery and support for ePub, PDF, TXT, HTML, XEB and CHM formats. The case looks very close to the JetBook Lite or Aluratek Libre and features similar buttons — with flip-flopped page controls at the bottom and the same descending number keys down the right side. There are a few changes like the rounded edge that sets the E-002 apart from those eReader however (plus the fact that the Daze Electronics version uses E-Ink instead of reflective monochromatic LCD). This one is priced around $155.
The E-003 model comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and WiFi plus 3G. It runs off Linux and will include RSS feed and web browser. Daza Electronic is selling this one for $190 (which could go lower depending on the quantity of the order). That means you could soon get a Kindle-comparable eReader for $60 less than Amazon’s price.
