InsisTek to offer a $70 7-inch Android tablet

The $70 InsisTek Android tablet
It’s kind of crazy to think that Android tablets have not just broken the sub-$100 barrier, but utterly crushed it at this point. Meanwhile, we’re just now starting to see eReaders come down to the $100 price — and they’re not even E-Ink at that!
InsisTek is further breaking down the price barrier and setting a new pricepoint at $70. That’s right you’ll be paying $10 per inch for this 7-inch resistive 1024 x 600 resolution touchscreen Android tablet powered by a VIA WM8505+ processor and featuring a metal allow unibody. Additional specs include 256MB of DDR2 RAM, NAND flash storage, two USB 2.0 ports, RJ-45 connector, headphone jack, accelerometer, 802.11b/g WiFi, optional 3G module, stereo speakers, embedded mic and microSD card slot. You’ll only be getting a 2400mAh battery with that, but at $70 can you really complain?
Our guess is that you probably can.
