China is quickly becoming the land of the HD PMP tablet. There have been a few PMPs lately — notably the Cube HD600HDMI and Chuwi P7 — that can output 1080p through an HDMI and are priced around $100 or less.

The iToos M8 PMP enters into that same category. It has a five inch LCD screen but the main focus of the device is the ability to pipe out hot, streaming 1920×1080 progressing high definition footage to your HDTV through its HDMI connection. Like most other PMPs in its category, the iToos M8 supports nearly all video and audio formats. Another neat feature is the ability to copy FM transmissions to the PMP. It’s like we’ve come full circle to 1986 and recording radio songs onto cassette tapes (I still miss that “Year of the Tiger” mix tape. It had Rock Me Amadeus and Papa Don’t Preach followed by some West End Girls).
