More Apple tablet rumors emerge – some new, some old

Jeremy Horwitz — Editor-in-Chief of iLounge.com — posted ten Apple tablet rumors from a source he considers as reliable. Some of the news is simple rehash of existing iPad rumors while some are slightly tweaked from what we’ve heard.

Among the new rumors: screen size is now said to be set at 10.7-inches; there are supposedly two versions — one with 3G capability and one without; and the resolution will be 5-6 times that of the current iPhone/iPod Touch with 7 times the touchable surface.

Among the rumors we’ve heard before: it will run the iPhone OS; it will look like a larger version of the iPhone 3G; it will expand on the concept of the iPhone — meaning applications, internet, games and eReader capability on a larger scale; and Apple is planning to announce on or before January 19, 2010.

You can see the rest of the list or those items mentioned in more detail on the iLounge site. No offense to the iLounge source but we really hope the “larger iPhone” rumors are false. We’re expecting more from Apple (as we’ve posted about before) and a larger format iPod Touch just seems lazy of them. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. As the end of the year gets closer expect the Apple tablet rumors to really pick up.
