It’s time for another PMP brief. This time we’re looking at the Ainol V6000HDK Bumblebee, the Ramos T17, the Chuwi PHG and Cowon V5 HD.

To start, the Ainol V6000HDK Bumblebee is a followup to Ainol’s metal encased V9000HDX Megatron offering. If the trend continues we should see an Ainol V50HDA Soundwave Soundwave regression. The V6000HDK has a 3-inch 480×272 resolution screen that supports 1080i and 720p TV out. It also supports RM, RMVB, AVI, MOV, MKV, PMP, MP4, VOB, DAT and FLV video codecs and MP3, WMA, FLAC, OGG, WAV and APE audio. It has 4GB of internal storage and an expandable MicroSD card slot. It also has a TXT eReader program, dual mics and a USB 2.0. Not bad for a PMP you can pick up for $75.20 right now.

The Mumu supports H.264, Xvid, MKV, AVI, RM, RMVB and FLV video formats. It has a HDMI, audio and mic plugs and a MicroSD card slot. The Mumu looks pretty spiffy all dressed up in white glossy molded plastic with a silver bezel. The Ramos T17 is available in China and costs 399 yuan (just under $60).

Chuwi is introducing their Chuwi PHG Gaming PMP that looks like its modeled after a Sony PSP. It has an 800x480 screen and can play NES, SNES, Gameboy, GBA, Genesis and 64-bit games. The PHG can play all the typical video and audio formats and has 720p playback and TV out capability. In addition it has an integrated eReader, 4GB of storage and a battery that lasts 5 hours while playing games or video and 10 hours while playing audio. Last we have the Cowon V5 HD being offered in South Korea. It's a 4.8-inch touchscreen with an 800x480 resolution and supports H.264 and 720p streaming through its HDMI. It plays the usual gamut of video and audio formats and runs off Windows CE which allows for RSS reader, clock, games, voice recorder and more. It's 0.6 inches thick and weighs 7 ounces. The V5 can play 10 hours of video and 45 hours of audio, but it will cost you much more than typical PMPs. Storage options range from 8GB starting at 299,000? (around $250) and 32GB for 399,000? (around $335). It will hit Korean shelves on January 1st.
