PMP Brief: Chuwi P7II, Newsmy A18HD+, Ramos T13FHD

The Chuwi P7II PMP

Chuwi P7II

The Chuwi P7II (meant to be read P7-2) is just that — a second version of their previously released P7 PMP. The P7II, however, grants you 1280p decoding and playback (just in case the previous P7’s 1080p wasn’t enough) and boasts a 9Mbs transfer speed through HDMI. The case, screen and most other specs are mirrored from the P7 including its 5-inch 800 x 480 display and ARM processor. It has 16GB of internal storage and supports H.264, XVID, MPEG2, MPEG4, VC-1, WMV9 and the other typical codecs. It’s currently for sale in China for 699 yuan ($102 U.S.).

Newsmy A18HD+ PMP

Newsmy A18HD+

Another upgrade of a previous model, the Newsmy A18HD+ takes the A18HD that was announced in August and pops in a few extras. The look and case is about the same, as is the 5-inch 800 x 480 screen. It also features 720p playback, FLV, AVI, RM, RMVB video and MP3, FLAC and WMA audio formats. It also comes with a healthy amount of games. The Newsmy A18HD+ is available now in an 8GB version for 699 yuan ($102) and 16GB version for 799 yuan ($118).

Ramos T13FHD PMP

Ramos T18FHD

Ramos continues to bring more PMPs to the market with their T13FHD. The T13FHD boasts full HD 1080p support, a HDMI port and TV-out. Specs are supremely lacking but it’s expected to hit the market soon.
