PMP Brief: Onda VX575, Itoos M6HD 1080p, Digital Cube i-Station T9 HD, Window G83HD
Oh dear Lord. The PMP names have evolved from capital letters and numbers to now including symbols! It truly is the beginning of the end times. In this case, Onda put the plus to distinguish the VX575+ from their previous V575 PMP. The VX575+ offers a 5-inch 800×480 screen with FM radio, up to 8GB of additional memory through its microSD card slot, TXT reader and can play 1080p videos. It can also stream 1080p through its HDMI port and can play the typical gamut of video codecs including RM, RMVB, MPEG, MKV, H.264, MOV, MPG, VOB, FLV, MPE, DAT and TS. There’s no official word on when it may hit the market but Onda promises that it will be soon.

Itoos M6HD
Fresh on the heals of their M6HD launch last month, Itoos has now released a 1080p version of the affordable M6HD. Itoos is billing this as the “world’s thinnest, smallest 1080p HD MP4? PMP on the market at a size of 4.09 x 3.03 x 0.47 inches. It has the same specs as its non-1080p little brother (4.3-inch screen, 8GB storage, microSD card slot, etc.) and looks pretty hot in its all metal case. It can pump out 1080p through the included HDMI port as well. No word on how much the HD upgrade will cost you.
