The writer of Tech Lahore just got back from the GITEX show held in Dubai with word on a few tablet goodies. In this case it’s the Boeye MID700 tablet — a very nice, solid looking tablet that runs Android.

It looks like the Chinese company Boeye aimed to duplicate the style of a certain major fruity computer and gadget maker and succeeded admirably. We’ll hold off on all the Apple Tablet talk since we really have no idea what the Apple Tablet will end up looking like. Suffice it to say the MID700 looks impressive.

The solid glass front and capacitive touch screen may remind you of another device, but blown up to double or triple the size. It also has a forward facing camera presumably to facilitate video conferencing and “mirror mirror on the wall” monologues. The reviewer found the device very thin and light and “every bit as solid as an iPhone.” The potential final nail in the coffin? Boeye says it will cost about $300.

Yet another reason why you shouldn’t wait on the Apple Tablet. Thanks to @MikeCane where we spotted the link.
