Sneak peak of the Huawei S7 Android Tablet

The Huawei S7 Android tablet sets the Streak in its sights
Separating your product from all the noise at a tech expo is nearly impossible, but Huawei seems to have done that at Computex with the S7 Android tablet. The S7 didn’t capture the eye of everyone, but it did manage to impress a few key people — Chippy from UMPCPortal being one of them. Last week it was announced that the Huawei S7 will begin selling in the UK exclusively from Expansys for £299.99.
The Huawei S7 is meant to go head to head with the Dell Streak in the mobile tablet category. Both are capable of making phone calls and offer 3G connectivity. The Steak has a 5-inch screen while the S7 has a 7-inch screen. However, there is one major discrepancy from the reports at Computex — the S7 no longer has a capacitive screen. It’s resistive only, for the time being, as pointed out by Leila Makki of Press/Play. Press/Play also did an interview with the General Manager of Hauwei Devices UK, Nicola Philbin, and a hands-on video with the S7 (you can skip to the 2:12 mark if you want to bypass the refresher course on market status and Android).
Opinions of the Huawei S7 seem positive and the news that they’ll be porting Android 2.2 to the mobile tablet before release is fantastic. Some of the features appear to be of a weaker nature, including a 2MP front-facing webcam and the aforementioned resistive touchscreen, but Philbin says that’s only to introduce the tablet at a low cost. She continues to say that upgraded versions of the S7 would come out in the future, including a capacitive touchscreen version.

You have the wrong info. This tablet will be shipping out in a few days and is available in America as well as the UK (not just in the UK).
Here is where you can buy it in the US

Dan, thanks for the info. The post is about the UK launch of the Huawei and quotes the UK representative. That information isn’t meant to be carried over for the U.S. release (which looks to launch with Android 2.1 instead of 2.2).
well thats where both of u r wrong lol 2.2 will be shipped to the states on the s7 (only really seems like that and theres some info online about it but no real confermation on that) and it will ship with 1 gig snapdragon but not downclocked and that expansy website is origanaly from the uk so it will be out in cap for the uk they dont kno what there talking about lol but there will also be more than one version and a risi. screen one will also be out not just a cap.
