The Cool Rui X9 tablet PC gets touched by Shanzai

The X9 runs off an Intel Atom N270 processor and has 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 160GB hard drive, SD card reader, 3 USB ports, ethernet and a 1.3MP camera. It measures 8.9 x 6.57 x 0.97 inches and weighs just over two pounds. It also has the ability to upgrade to 3G.
Shanzai.com got the chance to handle the X9 and have a ton of photos of the device. The X9 looks like a solid slab tablet, but we’ve been fooled before. Unfortunately there’s not much talk by the reviewers at Shanzai about the speed and performance of the tablet. The only main point they make is that the Cool Rui X9 can get very smudgy after hands have been laid on it.
Price will be the main hurdle to see whether the X9 can cross the Pacific and hit North American shelves. Still, the more they make of slab tablet PCs running Windows 7 the higher chance we’ll get a decent one. Right? Right?!
