The Teclast K3 eReader is a talking portable library

Hey look, the Telcast K3 can talk!

So we’ve given yet another eReader the ability to speak. One wonders what would happen if the Teclast K3 eReader also became self aware? Would it look around at a world full of E-Ink eReaders and feel accepted, or see itself as another in a line of unoriginal offerings and mutter “Oh, f#*% me” in its cold, robotic voice?

Luckily for us no one has yet to make E-Ink eReaders self-aware (although that sounds like a probable premise for a Doctor Who episode). What the Teclast K3 does offer is a 6-inch E-Ink screen, MP3/MP4 playback and the ability to listen to “The Road” in English or Chinese (note: Chinese is much less depressing). The Korean manufacturer also claims to be aiming at a much lower price point than the competition’s. Still, no firm price or release date has been offered yet.
